To enable any small birds to utilise the box it is best to use the 32mm hole which is suitable for a wide range of birds including great, marsh & coal tits, redstart, nuthatch, pied flycatcher, house sparrow and tree sparrows.
If you wish to restrict access to blue, marsh and coal tits, and possibly wrens, then use the 26mm hole which will exclude all other species by virtue of the smaller entrance.
The nest box comes with a Free Aluminium Fixing Nail

* Provided Aluminium fixing nail will not damage tree and is safe when if eventually felled.
